Lake Babine Nation Treaty Office

Lake Babine Nation is one of the largest First Nation Bands in BC and needed a website to communicate effectively with their members regarding the Treaty processes. Spark built their first website and when they were looking for a website refresh, they came back to Spark with a wish list and great ideas.

Spark upgraded the CMS to the latest version and added increased functionality to their website. For example, photos and video were top priority so galleries were added to showcase their history and community. Since their demographic predominantly uses mobile phones to access the internet, the website was made responsive so that it would look great on multiple devices.

Highlighting culture and language was important so a language and cultural skills video series was developed. 'Making Bannock' was the first video in the cultural series with more topics to come.

Since history is also important, a jquery timeline was created to document important milestones in time. Staff can easily add milestones and content to the timeline through the CMS.
